A Great English Setter

Boone. The kind of English Setter everyone wants. Kind, perfectly affable, behaved, loving... All of those things. He has a great owner though who sets him loose on big land and treats him like a son. Pictured below, Boone, tries to set the land speed record for four-leggeds after waiting patiently (kind of) in the truck while his father (John Huber) and I threw a few casts on Silver Creek.

Bud Purdy

Bud Purdy, an Idaho icon, passed away two days ago at his home in Picabo, Idaho at 96 years of age. Bud was many things including a steward of the land and a gentleman with a core work ethic that garnered respect throughout the west. For those of you who do not know, I work as a guide for the Purdy's out of Picabo Angler in Picabo, Idaho. Below is a video on Bud:

Bud Purdy

Bud Purdy, a Picabo, Idaho legend celebrated his 96th birthday last night at the Picabo Angler. One of his goals is to be back in the cockpit and fly from Picabo to Carey, Idaho by May 1st.

Bud was 10 years old when he spent his first summer working on the K-K Ranch in Picabo. In 1883 the Picabo Livestock Company was established by 6 brothers from Nebraska, one of whom was Bud's grandfather. Later, in 1955, Bud purchased the Kilpatrick Company and the rest is history.
