I am working on a personal project called, Any Ordinary Areco. Each November the small colonial town of San Antonio de Areco, Argentina hosts a large gaucho festival, Tradición. Argentines from every province in the country drive and sometimes ride their horses to Parque Criollo on the outskirts of Areco where they set up spartan camps in a giant grassy / dirt parking area surrounding the fenced arena. Some sleep in small tents or in horse trailers or on the ground next to smoldering fires used to cook asados.
